What We Do
The Hope for the Animals Podcast is a bi-weekly podcast hosted by longtime animal advocate and author, Hope Bohanec. It features interviews with animal advocates as well as solo shows on a range of topics including chickens, fishes, the environment, anti-oppression activism, spirituality, and animal sanctuaries.
The Humane Hoax Project
As animal advocates are becoming more successful in exposing the truth about animal agriculture and farmed animal suffering, the industry is responding with new labels, marketing, images, and promotion to ease consumer concerns.
Humanewashing and greenwashing are becoming more prevalent and pervasive. The Humane Hoax Project was created to educate consumers about the truth behind the labels and lies. Won’t you join us in saying no to the Humane Hoax and living vegan.
The Ahimsa Living Project
The Ahimsa Living Project was created to bring two worlds together: Veganism and Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain Dharmas, as they are natural sister communities and allies.
Ahimsa literally means non-harming or non-violence. However, instead of the absence of violence, it can be thought of as the presence of dynamic, active compassion and caring. One of the most unique contributions that Indian spirituality has made to world history is its long and enduring culture of vegetarianism and nonviolence, followed to some degree by all three of its major indigenous dharma traditions: Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain.
Join us for our Ahimsa Living Circle, a virtual community gathering for anyone who is curious about veganism, ahiṃsā, and living compassionately. Our Circle will help create a community of inspired advocates who believe that expanding our circle of compassion to include animals and all of the Earth should be a central feature of any philosophical or spiritual journey. Every second Saturday of the month, register for free by clicking here.
